Inspiration from China, Design in Italy, this is how the Cell floor lamp was born.
A unique piece of design and another representative of the Cell lamp family is this floor lamp, whose open cage of metal rods with a polished bronze finish is reminiscent of the millenary paper lanterns of China.
Designer Matteo Ugolini took this inspiration and made the Cell luminaire family appear as filigree and feathery as the Chinese models of yesteryear.
The white linen shade inside the cage allows the lamp to emit light softly and glare-free into the room, creating a pleasant atmosphere.
Ugolini is one of the principal designers of the Karman company, makers of the Cell family of lamps, which is based in Italy and uses Italian craftsmanship to produce unique, hand-made designer lamps. Each lamp exudes a special charm.
